Job Description: Keyport, LLC is seeking a Controller. The Controller serves in the primary financial leadership role
for the Company and will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. We are
seeking someone who can provide financial advice to the owners and is a hands-on contributor. Specific functions
include accounting, payroll, sales orders, inventory production tracking and costing, credit, accounts receivable &
collections, audit and tax compliance, budget administration, and financial reporting. This position reports to the
President.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as an advisor to the owners.
• Oversee the day-to-day business processes and financial controls for the Company. Maintain a documented
system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Direct or perform all aspects of accounting operations, including timely and accurate general ledger accounting,
accounts payable processing, inventory control, order processing, payroll processing, month-end close and
preparation of internal management financial reports.
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly
communicate monthly and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep the Owners
informed as to the Company’s financial status.
• Manage all aspects of the Company’s Alaska Fisheries operations, including regulatory licenses, permits,
reporting, tax payments, vessel payments, quota management, inventory costing and reconciliation.
• Provide management cost reports.
• Report financial and operating performance metrics that support the company's strategic direction.
• Supervise two staff; coordinate with others that provide accounting support.
• Evaluate and advise on credit terms for customers.
• Ensure compliance with documentation and legal import requirements for foreign purchases.
• Administer the annual budget process and monitor the budget to actual during the year.
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for acquisitions, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Establish and maintain banking relationships. Monitor debt covenants. Provide timely, accurate information to
banks.
• Monitor cash flow to provide information on daily cash position and use of resources.
• Provide information for and manage all external financial audits and tax preparation.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Must be proficient in accounting systems and possess strong understanding of the use and potential of
technology in the area of financial management.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities as necessary.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Five years progressive accounting experience, including at least two years as a controller.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills.
• Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background and credit check.
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA a plus.
• Manufacturing/processing/seafood company experience, particularly during growth cycles.
• Experience with maximizing capacity of QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Experience implementing accounting systems.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions
