Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manages and coordinates shipments of frozen, fresh and canned seafood products, both domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on international exports.
Works with customers, brokers and freight forwarders to establish shipping schedules, arrange shipments and prepare necessary documentation.
Enters and processes orders, completing all necessary documentation and paperwork related to sales and shipments.
Audits and approves freight bills.
Works within the OBI organization to assist and resolve administrative discrepancies related to sales orders and freight invoices.
Provides logistical support for OBI’s operations group such as equipment allocation and cargo destination.
Tracks carrier performance including on-time service, claims and acceptance ratios.
Continually review processes and procedures and provide recommendations on efficiency improvements.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5-7 years of Logistical experience.
Working knowledge of FDA, USDC and international regulations to ensure compliance with all international export requirements.
Familiar with all modes of transportation, including surface and air.
Experience in third party logistics.
Effective negotiating skills.
Able to plan, multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, and Outlooks skills. TMS software experience preferred.
Seafood experience preferred.
Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Must be available to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
Prompt regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Professionally and diplomatically with a wide range of people while under pressure.
Effectively with minimal supervisor to meet deadlines.

Work Schedule:

This position is based in the corporate office which located in Seattle, Washington. Core hours are Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. Prompt and reliable attendance is required to ensure that critical deadlines are met as well as being predictably available for employees and managers. This position will also require extended hours (mornings, evening, weekends, holidays, etc.) to meet business needs.
