Icicle Seafoods, Inc. is one of the largest seafood processing and marketing companies in the Northwest. We are in a period of expansion and will continue to grow over the next several years. Responsible for initiating and coordinating sales of fresh and frozen product, primarily wild and farmed salmon. Must work closely and communicate with the sales team, production plants, traffic, logistics and customer service teams, as well as vendors. This position is exempt from overtime and reports to the VP of Sales, North America.
Responsibilities:
• Arrange, initiate and coordinate fresh and frozen sales of Alaskan and Washington product nationwide. This includes but is not limited to: wild salmon, farmed salmon, halibut, black cod and crab.
• Facilitate shipment of product with freight forwarders and processing plants.
• Develop and maintain sales contact with key customers.
• Identify and initiate sales contact with new customers.
• Provide market feedback and ability to monitor and coordinate sales activities, including order entry, invoicing and order processing.
• Maintain data related to sales activity.
• Work with the accounting and inventory departments to reconcile and resolve warehouse discrepancies.
• Recommend and administer sales forecasts, trends and broker quotas.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years of fresh and/or frozen seafood sales experience, with an emphasis on Alaskan products.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Alaskan seafood products, including an in-depth understanding of production and quality aspects of processing.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress work environment.
• Solid math and general accounting skills.
• Ability to stay organized.
• Must be available to work extended hours.
• Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
